1. An eternal ferrystone. It doesn't have to be easy to get. Lock it behind a high level challenge
2. Enemy variety with less density. It's incredibly annoying running into a copy paste pack of saurians / goblins / harpies / wolves every 10 feet.
3. Better rewards for exploring. There's nothing to really find. Finding gear that isn't immediately purchasable in shops is extremely rare, and every time I did find something unique I had already outleveled it. They need more unique stuff for upgrades to find in dungeons
Based on your "reviews" on other games, im convinced you like to blather on about nonsense, to what end is anyone's guess, but you clearly dont have a good point of view with any of your rants you leave.
I'm fully convinced you dont have that many hours, never mind that much progression, into the game.
I dunno, im 22.9 hours in and lvl 27, ive a good portion of the area explored around Vernworth and each time i take the road theres a TON of encounters with a ton of different stuff, i go down little nooks and crannies and find new things each time. There's definitely a LOT to the world, and for someone to say there isnt, is just outright lieing
You seriously make a profile to trash talk? You can see my game play time and progress based on achievements. Steam really needs to start blocking posting privileges on new accounts.
I agree. Only wakestone shards and ferrystones have been good finds, but extremely rare. Other than that I found quite a few seeker tokens.
That'd be a welcome change to Steam for sure.
But, you gotta admit, your reviews are pretty garbage.
Some are serious and others are just me being silly. I don't get paid to write reviews so the effort I expand on them is minimal.
Despite having a sufficient fast travel network to cut down on tedium, I would agree the world isn't all that fun to explore. It's a bunch of linear roads through valley or caves, littered with trash mobs, or the occasional large trash mob if you're lucky. It was bold of the head guy to state that "you'll be having too much fun exploring to need fast travel."
I make excessive use of fast travel, because traversing the world is not all that interesting. At least in something like an Elder Scrolls game, you have the occasional flavorful random encounter (and a horse). DD2, meanwhile, has the equivalent of early JRPG random encounters; just a mob of the same 3 enemies once per minute.
Judging strictly by your achievements. You don't look like you enjoyed the first one. So why call the second one a joke if the first one didn't catch your fancy? O.o
Dont forget that the monsters you might run into are basically the same 4 kinds - so not only is the trek samey, so too is the crap you have to deal with. So you are more or less constantly backtracking and running around for some of the most 'who gives a crap' level side quests, because on top of that even the quest writing is 'meh'.
I was really hoping they would grow beyond the first DD and use the success to propel themselves into something better. Instead its just more of the same, but over a decade older.
All I can say is I'm thankful I experienced the first game. 20 plus hours in and I'm almost done playing this one. Yes I'll beat it but I have no drive to do any quests other than the main quest. It's beyond ridiculous what a time waste this is. In fact I'm wishing there was no overworld map just a series of Dungeons and I'd be happy.
