AMD RX6800XT Performance - any ideas???

Every Setting on low, some AMD Settings tested, I barely scratch 30FPS.
Even on 720p with FSR3 on performance, it does not make any difference.
i cannot return the game because of the friggin downloadsize.
i am open for ideas and tips.

I have ryzen 3700x and 6800xt and I play average 70 fps on 1440p and 30-40 in cities with some stutters, a little annoying but manegable. Problem is your cpu it is not enough for this game unfortunately unless some performance improverments have made ... and your cpu already bottlenecks 6800xt btw (even my 3700x bottleneck %5 in 1440p)

Your cpu bottlenecks your gpu at 1440p, even more at 1080p and 720p, if you lower settings and resolution then you are just making the cpu work more and it is a weak cpu nowadays, i know because i had it until last year too.

Get ryzen 5600,5600x,5700x, 5800x or 5600x3d [USA only Microcenter] or 5700x3d or 5800x3d [the best AM4 cpu for gaming] or just switch to newer gen cpu ryzen 7500F or 7600 at least or Intel 12th, 13th or 14th gen cpu with at least i5 - 12400 or 13400 or 14440 minimum.

The cheapest option in case you do not want to replace motherboard and ram is just to update bios on the motherboard if needed and to get ryzen 5600 but it can bottleneck too at 1080p, will be good at 1440p and 4K. 6800xt is not 1080p card, too powerful.

This game is very cpu intensive which make things even worse, wait for a patch at least.

Dont go under 1440p and try the newest drivers from March for the video card and set the game priority dogma2 to High usage in the task manager.

Also use may be again FSR3 but not on 720p or 1080p. Your video card is very good for 1440p but will lack some power for 4K resolution, if you are on 1080p monitor then it is kinda bad and will bottleneck all games with that cpu.

Personally i have the game on steam but waiting for a patch patiently, Ryzen 5600 RX 6700 XT 1080p 144hz monitor on 16gb ram 3200mhz soon 32gb.

Yeah, it's probably your CPU.
I've got:
Ryzen 5 3600
RX 6650xt
16 GB 3200 ram

At 1080p, mixed low/high, no RT, FSR Quality; I'm getting 50-60 overland, 30-40 in the city.

While the game does need fixes in regard to cpu utilziation, your CPU is below minimum. The single thread performance on the 2000 series vs the 3000 series is pretty terrible.

In the current state of the game your CPU would be way too weak for 60FPS in the big cities. The 6800XT would be perfectly fine, though.

I have a Ryzen 5600x and I'm just above 40FPS in Vermund. So, if OP wants to get a new CPU to play this I'd strongly suggest waiting until the performance is patched. Otherwise he stands the chance that the new CPU is still too weak for the game. Or if he's lucky, the game might perform well enough on his current CPU. Depends on how much performance they can squeeze out of this.
