To start with I was a bit salty that there wasn't more pawn voices to choose from. After having played for a while, I'm starting to realize what an insane amount of VA is in this game. And, in both English and Japanese, no less. Crazy.

English dub sux, sounds weird like 90% of the voices were made by someone from the Bronx. Original voices all the way

Fantasy medieval setting with japanese language . I dunno sounds strange. If it was final fantasy then sure. May as well give it ukranian as well.

Cuz Japan didn't have medieval times no? They always has been anime waifus and high tech :steamfacepalm:

Went right into JP because it helps tone out the pawn chatter at times (when it isn't your native language, it sometimes sounds like it changes xD). When I walked into the Elf village though I could literally hear the different dialect and it was pretty cool (all sounds pretty good so far).

Though - I do miss Mercedes from DD1; will probably play in English at some point to see if they re-used that actor.

Englisch.

My game is in german, so I already depend on sub. Sometime the subtitles are too fast for me(fighting) but at least I can it understand in English. This is not the case if I would have Japanese dub.

I wonder how you process that Fromsoft's souls games and elden ring all have exclusively english voices. Even in japan.

It's a great dub with talented VAs, talking with funny olde English words. Only ppl I know playing JP are turbo weebs.
Silverlight Mar 27, 2024 @ 2:38pm
Japanese for sure. The English dub feels more amateur than the first game and that's saying something
