Does the ornate box have any value

The quest where that kid wants the box. I ended up buying it beforehand then stored it in my storage. I then payed the kid 1000 gold so he can go buy it, forgetting that I already bought it. I think I already finished that quest but does he show up later for it or is this just a bug...

Did you follow him to the stand?

If the quest is progressing, you will get a dialogue between the vendor and the kid "Oh, I plan to buy today" and then he thanks you and that continues on for a bit. There are like 3 or 4 instances of interacting with him after giving the money.

Otherwise, likely a minor bug you can pretend is more "He took your money, and ran once he found out it was gone".

Did notice the description mentioned it having a drawer or something to store an item in, so likely good to hold onto otherwise (my "?item" is a jade stone right now).

That quest has some pretty rich rewards, but the box isn't one of them that I know of.

I do know you can give him the box instead of the 1k. Which is a decent option since you're probably getting a discount at that vendor for helping his granddaughter back at melve.

My wife figured that option out. I just gave him the 1k. She ended up getting a ring from him for gifting the box. I just got repaid in installment plans.

Anyway that doesn't really help you with your problem.

I gave h im 1000 gold and he came everyday or something and gave me some money and stuff I cant remember. Then that was it and I still have the box

You should be fine then. If the quest is completed in your journal you're good.

He ends up giving you almost $5000 gold and a set of clothing that would cost 300k at the vendor :)

That's fugin awesome. :) I gave him 1k too and was wondering how much I'd see in return. I got like 200 or something so far.

If you mean the Courtly Attire, there's lots of free sets of that around town. Just poke your head into homes in the noble district. Whatever you do, don't pay for it.
