Enemy stunlock = OP
Just had to use about 10 healing items in a row because an enemy started an endless combo that I could do nothing to get out of. Every hit stunlocked me for the next hit. Couldn't move, jump or dodge. Just had to literally wait until they deciding to stop attacking. Literally NO way to get out of it. I don't know how one can git gud against that. There must be something I am missing. How the hell am I supposed to deal with this kind of combo?

Not sure where you are in your game but what helped me was Dwarven forging. Only a point or so difference from the Ven kind but HUGE spike in resistance to that crap. Same for weapons. It's the only thing to use really.

Depends on your class. But for every class, positioning matters. If you're getting hit as a ranger or mage/sorcerer then you likely positioned wrong.

In a real world scenario, if you get slapped with a blade, you aren't going to take 10 seconds to get your butt moving. In Dragon's dogma, yep. Take your time until you're dead, it's nothing.

Just so we all know, how many times have you actually been punched? Because I can tell you, sometimes you get punched and you dont get up right away.

I rarely get hit... you can stunlock them as much as they do you. It's not been an issue for me especially since you outscale enemies so easily.

Might be some class issue or something. Usually my attacks dont stunlock and an enemy attacks me mid combo. Since you cant cancel attacks or move i have to take the hit and get stunlocked and then its just an endless combo.

Yeah that's about the only time your ever at real threat of dying is if a mob jumps you or some monster starts a wombo combo that stuns you, and pummels you for lots of damage. You get tons of healing items though as you explore so you have to get old school RPG tactics, and just chug healing to survive until your pawns hopefully do something lol.

To some extent, yes.
The sheer distance enemies can make in a leap (when we can't do anything of the sort) is ridiculous, I grant... but it CAN be worked around. Either through ranged ambushes or through constant mobility. Mage, Sorcerer and Archer should definitely be trying to pick enemies off before they even notice you, and repositioning after every shot. Fighter and Thief would do well to utilise moves that knock down or flinch the enemy then go for execution kills with Y. Warriors can usually just tank it. Not sure about other vocations since I haven't unlocked them yet.

In the real world when you get slapped with a blade there is a big chance you won't be getting up at all anymore. The real qorld does not work like movies or games. One well placed punch with a fist can kill people.

I'm guessing an enemy was raging and was flailing around. You kinda gotta get out of an enemies way if they are raging because it gives them a fat dps buff and they can knock you down easy.

sounds like someone is stacking attack stats.

psa: the entire endgame is about having the right defenses.

spamming one button, not breaking or ccing, then wondering why you're getting stun locked. not using "Help me!" not having pawns set up to assist. where was the knockdown on them doing it? the debilitates? nowhere? that's why it happens.

then complaining "...but how do i get out of it..." lol

it's not OP, you just need to avoid and mitigate it

The game absolutely does expect you to rely on your pawns to bail you out. So if you don't have any that can do that you better be careful.

Aside from that most vocation have a way to prevent getting staggerlocked. The clearest example being Mystic Spearhand which to me seems entirely designed around being bubbled 100% of the time for better or worse.
