I did buy it mostly for role playing but it's good to know it's that useful. The batthal house is pretty nice looking too, just wish other pawns could enter too because it's awkward how they sleep outside.
Not a typo omitting a zero, there are two houses for sale in Battahl.
I'm asking if anybody has bought the second one and if it has more to offer, or a questline behind it (as you're asked to buy the 300k one to prevent it from being used as a hideout of any who would plot against the empress), or if it's purely a money sink.
Battahl house costing 300000k
300000k = 300,000,000
The most expensive one for me is the 300k house
Did i miss something on my NG+ ?
Fixed the K in the title. Everyone here is talking about the one that costs 30,000, I'm referring to the 300,000 one. You're the first to refer to the correct house. Is there a quest behind it, is it worth it, does it have any extra features, or is it purely a money sink?
I see a lot of dyslexic comments on this thread and people not understanding or being lazy at reading what OP posted so I'm gonna clear this up for you and ease your mind on this subject if you haven't already as this was posted quite a while ago at the time I'm writing this so you may have already figured this out by now. But IN THE OFF CHANCE YOU DIDN'T here it is....
The high end house (300K) in Battahl has no quest line attached to it. The only quest needed to jump start purchasing dwellings in the game was the first one in Vernworth where the owner let's you "borrow" her house for a week in game and eventually selling it to you for 20K, thus completing the quest and allowing you to purchase other homes in the game (currently 4 homes to purchase to date at the time of this writing)
Aside from that, the choice is yours to make if you want to purchase the 300k house for role playing purposes or not. But if you haven't completed the game the first time yet, I recommend just buying the cheaper houses the game offers and ONLY those on your first playthrough and if you decide to do NG+, then decide if you want to buy them or not. I'm currently on my second run trying to find that Corlatta chick and can't seem to find her in the spot she's supposed to be in.
So in summary, NO QUEST LINE FOR 300K HOME, NO THE PRICE **WILL NOT** DROP EVENTUALLY AND YES IT'S AN IN GAME MONEY SINK. THE EXPENSIVE HOMES ARE MORE OF A VERY MINOR CONVENIENCE AT AN INCONVENIENT COST SOLELY FOR ROLE PLAYING PURPOSE AND IF YOU'VE THE EXTRA COIN LAYING ABOUT AFTER BUFFING UP YOUR CHARACTER/PAWN. NOTHING MORE.
Hopefully that clears things up!!
The NPC who sells the 300k House (the big one) in Bakbattahl spawns AFTER you progress the Main Story a bit and save the Princess................
You can also throw Dragon Plagued Pawns right out of the non-existent window.
If you play the game logn enough 300k is nothign special, just buy it for the immersion.
But I do think they really were too lazy because it is really only 1 room, as if they just added it quickly just to have also 2 houses there too :-(
