Battahl house costing 300000

Is there any reason to buy it, a questline behind it, will the price drop eventually? The beastren named Corlatta in the palace of battahl wants me to buy a house near the palace for 300000 gold which is absurd, or is it just meant to be an end-game money sink?

The cat-house is 30k, rich dude in few other capital is selling his for 200k irc. Money is plentiful, especially on new game+ and forwards, when you hardly need to buy anything anymore.

No, there's Adrea who sells the 30k house in battahl.

In the palace there's another beastren lady named Corlatta who goes "What to do, what to do?" and if you talk to her, she wants you to buy a house for 300,000.

I'm talking about the 300,000 one, not the 30k one.

You can get a 30k one that fulfills the same purpose, which is definitely worth it so you don't have to spend 10k in the inn.
