Travel to Batthal?

Should you complete the first four quests that Brant gives you before visiting Bathaal?
I'm half through that questline but I met this rich art collector who wants me to go to Bathaal City.

Is it better to complete the four Brant quests first? Does it matterat which point the player decides to travel to the other realm?

I'm asking myself the same thing.

I was gonna head there after the "scaly invaders" sidequest, but I've only done 2 of Brant's quests yet.


But then I immediately ran into a Dragon and got squad wiped.
And then my game froze on a blackscreen while trying to look at the map.

It doesn't matter at which point you decide to travel to Batthal.

Rich art lover telling me to tell the guy he's looking forward to his stuff.

I went there before any Brant quests, partly because I wonder too mich and wondered into quest leading there, and you can. If you explore like me you will have high enough level and money for decent gear. I've seen drakes but haven't fought any on my way there. You don't need permit or anything, just go there put a teleport crystal because traveling there and back is a long journey without oxes and such.

Doesnt't really matter. The main quest won't progress there so feel free. The enemies are harder though so be prepared. There's multiple ways inside.

Just finish the ox thief quest and the carts will run fine. You can travel from vermund to rest town, then rest town to bakbutahl.

you can go there if you want, but the main quest will also lead you there ... its basically the 2nd area after you are done in the capital.

(personally i would finish the brant questline first, because it makes travelling easier)

Probably better to do the quests, otherwise you might struggle in the dessert if you aren't strong enough.

You can sneak across the border early but it is more streamlined if you just do the quest line to get there naturally. Batthal city does not have a portcystal so if you head there early it is a one way trip. Doing the questline will reward you with a portcrystal you can set anywhere, do what you will with that information.

Only reason to go to Batthal early is if you want to unlock the Trickster early or something along that line.
