Easy-as-Pie Preserved Medusa Head Recipe
- Makes 1 (one) preserved Medusa head -

Wayfarer Vocation
- arm at least with Mystic Bow and Daggers (usually your best)
- pawns wait outside cave
- Soporific Bolt: may take 2 hits
- Medusa goes to sleep
- Switch to Daggers
- Standard Thief melee attack straight-to-the-face

POP! - one preserved, fully functional Medusa Head.
in the ring of motility I don't have to have the armor and the helmet that has resistance against petrification or yes?
Reply to EvilFabio18:
1. The Ring of Motility makes you immune to the Medusa stone gaze. Nothing else is needed. You could walk into the cave in your skivvies is so moved.
2. To use Soporif Bolt you need to be a Mystic Archer; to use daggers you need to be a Thief; to be able to combo these 2 weapons you must use the Wayfarer vocation.

You can cut off the medusa head with other vocation classes if Wayfarer isn't unlocked yet, especially the Thief, but it's much tougher to accomplish and frequently only yields a "Partially preserved medusa head". Even a partial head should allow you to accomplish the 'Case of Sculptor's Block' mission.

so what class do you recommend to use for medusa? since the archer is no good
give me your pawn code I'll give you mine's unless you want to find it
Pawn ID: K9P ZOL EHI AGR
Pawn Name: Axianna
Vocation: Thief
Arisen Name: hoovsbin
Attributes: Human, feminine, Chirurgeon, Kindhearted

I've "armored" her up sexy, but not slutty. She's Level 152. Has seen everything, found the chests, caves and has all the badges, eaten almost all of the Golden Beetles on the map so can carry 80+ kg. A great boon if you need some help finding chests, fighting bosses, or performing the missions.

Presently on 4th play through with her.

Pawn Quest: Give 1 AllHeal; receive 5 back

There is a potion that heals petrification.
Malleating Elixir.

Unless you're too far gone and fully petrified => dead. Then Wakestone becomes your only option.

You will lose fully petrified Pawns, as they return to the Rift.

so the ring of motality doesn't completely cure petrification?
The Ring of Motlity prevents you from being petrified. Period.

If you, or a pawn with you, are not wearing a Ring of Motility, they can be petrified.
Partial petrification - can cure with Malleating Elixir.
Full petrification - DEAD. Arisen cure with wakestone. Pawns gone back to the Rift.

Best way to learn something is to get info or read first. This step u already done via this post & got the info. The next step is to get the ring of motility , wear it then go and fight medusa, standing in front of her without avoiding her gaze all the way. After the battle, you will get all the answer u want. ( how good is the ring & how effective. if u got petrified, that means it is not 100% effective ) knowledge need to be applied in practice first hand then u will know what works & whats won't. That is how one gain experience & the ability to know the truth & the fake. It is time for u to go & apply the knowledge u have gained to get all the answer u seek.
Yes, you're right. Until I try it out by playing, I can't understand what you mean
