Does this game have an Always Online Requirement?

I just saw that DD2 requires internet, but there’s a big difference between needing internet for installation or the occasional “check in” and needing a constant connection, especially for a single player game. Searched google but was unable to find a definitive answer, anyone know?

As far as i am concerned it isn't required to play the game however you will miss out on some features within the game, the first dragons dogma for example had you being able to call in pawns of other players which would require you to be "Online" however the game was playable offline just that you could not hire other players pawns which argueably was a bit annoying since the offline pawns the game gave you werent as good as the player pawns argueably im not 100% sure how it will be handled in Dragons Dogma 2 tho

It has an online requirement only for if you want access to other players' pawns and that whole system. If Denuvo acts like most DRM's it'll likely require initial online when you activate it....but you're on Steam so...that would already be required. But otherwise you can flip to offline mode.

its gonna be the same as re4 ...you will connect the net for the scoreboard /pawns but you can play offline

If they removed it no. Assuming it works like the first game. You'd just lose access to other player's pawns and would have to use the staff pawns to fill your team.
