EDIT: Actually make that 2 million, the numbers are always lower when reported by the mass media to downplay it.
I could possibly get DD2 and Rise of Ronin maybe, it will definitely mean making the most out of the existing games, or I can just skip them entirely since there's probably going to be bigger issues around the corner that Canadians hasn't foresee yet.
The government ain't done with screwing with people yet, that's for sure.
then you have
so yeah, write me another essay about how you're the one who's getting screwed over with these prices
Jeez Louise
And don't say "Oh but the cost of making games went up" That BS excuse too, companies like capcom have been making record profits for like 10 years in a row now. It just gets difficult to keep up the momentum to please investors and stop their stock bubble from popping. Huger market, better tool that greatly lowers the workload combined with double and triple dipping with micro transaction all adds up to massive profit margins that doesn't stop growing, The extra 10$ USD and removing regional pricing are just tricks they're doing in hopes of increasing the profits even higher because they hope their 'invincible" Anti piracy will force the guy in the philipines to spend half his monthly pay on a single game.
Find a better deal elsewhere, wait for a discount, boycott the game altogether or protest in front of Capcom headquarters, I don't care.
But don't think for a second that you got it worse than people who are actually worse off financially
He is right. Pre-buy frenzies are certainly an incentive to maintain high prices. And it is a moronic practice to begin with.
Not free. Nothing is free. It is paid with income taxes money.
If you live around Toronto or Vancouver, you should buy a tent before they become out of reach pennywise.
Thank god someone said it.
Poor games companies and their ever soaring profits. They have no other choice than to reach into your wallets two or three times a game at least.
Gaming has become an expensive hobby. That much is for sure.
Just my rig cost me close to 3000$ 2 years ago. Plust the cost of software and games.
I remember in the early 80s when I pretty much could afford all the games that were out for the C-64. (No 'PC' yet at the time).
It's like the price of a ticket for a concert. I remember getting Pink Floyd and Bowie tickets for around 12$.
These days are far gone.
