Pricing policies are shifting around, for the bad of honest players, because companies found no better way than this against the VPN war.
That's not how it works bucko. It's not regional pricing if everything is just getting converted from USD 1:1 lol. $95 for the standard edition makes this the most expensive release in Steam history for Canadian currency. It's definitely $15 higher then it should be. At absolute minimum its $5 more then it should be based on other AAA that have dropped in the last 3 months.
Dangerous game these big studios are playing when there has been so many viral hits from indie/AA devs already this year.
Always a pleasure when corporate shareholders and executives get involved with game development, just a win-win scenario, for them, they get both wins.
No need to hoist the sails just yet, they aren't dumb enough to get rid of the discounts just yet and it's hilarious to see the butt hurt looks on peoples faces that paid full price and a couple month's later are upset about it being half off.
Edit: It's almost poetic that monster hunter world is right next to it on the top sellers list at $13 LOL
this is also not the first game with this price, $70 usd has been the standard for aaa games for a while now
I mean your wrong but your a nobody on the internet so I guess believe whatever you want? Regional pricing is in fact, the standard which Steam operates on, which is why some regions pay $20USD worth of local currency for a brand new AAA game. This is what allows someone in the 3rd world to potentially pay for a game they wouldn't be able to afford with a 1:1 exchange rate. Which is also why Steam actively works to prevent users from buying games in other regions. A simple google search is all it takes my guy.
Your also wrong about your second point, no AAA game based on the $70 USD new standard has been released above $90CAD, not once, not ever. Suicide Squad was released 2 weeks ago, is priced at $89.99.
You don't know anything. Go play a game or something.
