The anti-mod pandemic

So I just recently caught up on CapCom news and saw the things like

- CapCom releases video point showing anti mod future practice, calling modders "cheaters"

- CapCom Get's Youtube channels deleted for showing content with mods in Monster hunter

- DRM causes modding to break on a 12 year old game they have abandoned making additional content/updates for.....really happened (and still is)

Well this is completely unhinged and out of touch.

ignoring games like skyrim, or GTV 5 which are literally kept alive postmortem of content updates.

yes, I know the reason this is happening, it's dumb and CapCom should feel dumb for thinking people blame CapCom for the internet...moving on

Let's talk about the ACTUALLY MONEY IMPACT modding has had on gaming.

• You know battle royals...well they started out as a mod. (H1Z1)
  
• You remember before that, mobas? Guess what...a mod (Warcraft 3)
  
• Oh and counter strike....mod (Half life)

Literally 3 of biggest PVP game types in recent history...are mods. That's what you are calling "pirates" and "Malicious"

That's like blaming Isaac newton for gravity...Spoiler...it's kinda a good thing.

Re revelations, they did role it back. but they intend to bring the update back later.

Since some mods like wide screen support mods modify the memory allocation of a program to work. Well they will cause the DRM to flag it. As a very common example

im not sure you know what you are talking about, after looking it up there is no confirmation that enigma broke mods for that game.
and if it broke mods for that game then why didn't it break mods for the other 2?

i dont follow, DRM protects the exe from being tampered with. that typically stops pirates for a lengthy period of time. long enough for them to finish the high sales window.

enigma may not even exist for this game. you're just blowing smoke from every orifice now.

one of the content i see deleted is a reworked monster that was put into MHW from older MH games. This strike is correct as it is stolen material from other capcom property.
