While you have a valid point, there's been a huge uptick in 'the younger generation' boycotting games that don't feature multiplayer, even when it makes no sense like solitaire.
I've seen countless discussions and reviews for games that just get trashed for not having it. It's a bizarre trend I theorize may be a result of 'the tablet kids' growing up after having been exposed to years of memefluencers shilling funny games for content that display comical interactions between players in games with it which could be causing them to see single player games as a flaw rather than an optional feature. It's just interesting is all. Not trying to be contrarian or argumentative, just my observation.
Don't get it twisted, I'm simply pointing out a recent trend. Observing something and actually caring about something are completely different things. Also, I was just responding to a direct statement about it, so take a chill pill lol
Idk man I'm pushing 30 and I feel like co-op makes just about EVERY game better.
At the very least, if they can add co-op and not heavily effect playing solo I see it as a best of both worlds. Sometimes I do wanna just chill on my own and play a game, but if the option for co-op is there I'll likely eventually try it and those are where my favorite memories are made.
Might just be a person to person thing. Now, when people start asking for pvp or a battle royal mode I agree completely lmaoo
But I'm 100% behind the idea, just wouldn't hold my breath xD
Yeah Denuvo will only last about 6 months or so, they know they can't prevent piracy forever but they wanna delay it as long as possible almost all developers have removed it after a year.
But also denuvo doesn't stop mods, it simply puts a key in your system registry to verify that it is owned. You can't edit its core exe file but mods are still possible.
That said, a coop mod might be impossible without making changes as such, idk how that works because it's a complex process especially if the game has no net code to start but I can't imagine it doesn't make core changes 🤔
the only mods you'll see is just the same as part 1. Change HDR contrast mod, clothing mod etc. lol. mods won't even be near skyrim level which is mod-friendly engine.
Making a mod is one thing, making a coop mod means using network features of the engine (if possible, otherwise it's going to be implementing a socket from scratch and the interface that let's you play the game with it, in a proprietary engine, good luck), that's not going to be the same cake, it's not like you can use capcom servers, so it's going to be good old client hosting technology.
That's going to be a source of so many bugs and I'm not even talking about the potential security breach with hackers corrupting your save if it's not done right (in a single save game, this is gonna be great, make copies of your files, often).
