Hard mode is desperately needed.
so i'm 40 hours in, approaching the end and so far this has been far easier than even DD1 on normal mode, it feels like almost nothing actually threatens the player and the only encounters that are possible to fail are drakes and griffons because they can decide to fly away.

It honestly kind of feels like playing an afk game with how little attention you have to pay.

Just a big dungeon like ever fall or bbi with new monsters and loot would make me happy tbh

hoping for the same, or that modders create a hard mode themselves, it barely feels like im playing a game aside from all the running im doing.

Theres already a hard mode for mobs on nexus.. Maybe do some research

Yea the true ending fell pretty flat and was not a challenge at all. I am not asking for the exact same as DD1 but Everfall felt a lot more rewarding, challenging, and the post game add a bunch more quest and equipment. Which DD2 doesn't and I thought there was gonna be hard mode after beating it and starting New Game Plus. Or at least the UR Dragon.

I checked, it only increases the hp of the mobs. that doesnt really do anything when mobs can barely hit you and when they do it doesnt hurt.

I only leveled thief to max for the augment, helm splitter is too broken so i dont even wanna play the vocation, literally 3x the dps of any other class.

There's no fixing this. Even if enemies could deal more damage to you, you can heal infinitely at any time with no healing animation. You basically have infinite health, or you tank so much damage that you use all the consumables you are able to carry. But even then there are skills that make you invincible that you just have to not use if you want the game to be challenging.

I played through start to finish as Mage/Sorc, the scaling stops at about 40 - 50, which means you out level everything really easily. We deff need a hard mode, or at least an NG+ with extra scaling / new loot. Kinda surprised that after all this time in development they didn't add that stuff as it's a very popular part of DD1.
