At what point do you actually unlock easier teleportation / transport?
As the title says, I'm some 20+ hours into the game and so far Ferrystones the only method of quickly navigating the map seem to be insanely rare, they cost a fortune, appear 1 at most per store with lengthy cooldowns. Is there seriously no point where ferrystones or teleports become more common? I enjoy the game world but I've walked the same roads over and over for nearly 10 hours now and It just isn't enjoyable to have to walk everywhere.

Don't worry, you can always buy some fast travel in the cash shop. They were kind enough to give us that option if we got tired of walking.

That's the game, the adventures and behemoths you run into on the road. You'll unlock more ports to ferry to as the game progresses, and you'll begin looting/earning more ferrystones to a point where you can just beam across the map whenever you want.

I'd also explore nexusmods, there's quite a few convenience mods available to speed things up.

use oxcarts

You could get an infinite ferrystone in the first game. I wonder if anyone knows if this is possible in this one too.

So far i found no better means of travel.

Teleporting is last resort stuff for me. It's for when you somehow messed up and now have only 10% of your total health left and there's three minotaur between you and town. I happily walk everywhere, and thoroughly explore. I don't take ox carts unless the quest says I have to.

You can't gather supplies and kill random stuff on the ox cart.

I don't believe so.

Good news is that Ferrystones become more common the higher level you get, and money becomes a non-issue as well.

they only added the infinite stone in the expansion, the base game had just regular ferry stones. use the mod on nexus and buy 99 ferrys stones for 1G each.

there are other portcrystals in the game, you can get one from the elves, one from a gryphon nest, and you can duplicate one at the sphinx, you can also buy one at the dragonforged guy

ferrystones remain rare in NG,

post-game unmoored world you can collect tons of ferrystones off the ground and from mobs for your next run, I collected about 30 of them before I ran out of time and finished the cycle

ng+ ferrystones are just as rare and still cost 10k gold each

I wouldn't blame anybody for getting a ferrystone mod after having been through the game once and having seen most of what it has to over in terms of walking around fighting goblins.

Yea but only in the expansion dark arisin so perhaps the first dlc will have it.

Try the Checkpoint town but be sure to buy them from Morris (which you can get for a discount if you save his grandson) rather than Ibrahim.

Yea, i have a few spare and a lot of money too. A non consumable in the middle of the game would be neat tho.

I mean there are only so many stones you can travel to anyway, so i think they went a bit above and beyond here.

I can see it will get tedious after a while.
Sokurah Mar 25, 2024 @ 2:35pm
I also kinda hate that you cant even travel from one stone to another. That would be fair enough tbh.

It's locked behind a Cadh Shop.
It's done intentionally.

Mods are the only solution.
EyeXombie Mar 25, 2024 @ 2:35pm
Honestly the journey is suppose to be apart of the game. It would be boring if you could just zip around all over the place.
