In the party RPG combat department? Yes they do.
Also in terms of unique classes?
Also yes they do.
Fromsoft doesn't do anything unique in terms of combat. Nor parties. What they do have is extremely tight, and solid. But not the combat I'm looking for, we have a hundred of those games.
I don'T know breath of wild. Is this a reality-hunter-game? (without fantasy-elements?) Than, I propably won't play it, since fantasy-elemtns are the things, I realy love. (That's one of the main reasons, I didn't continue MH world after 2 hours. ther's no real magic.)
I only know fallout 4. I didn't play the others. And I must say, in comparison to elder scrolls, the combat in Fallout 4 is realy good.
But the atmosphere in DD 2 is phenomenal imho. The dungeons are mostly caves. And that's even somewhat realistic. But those caves can be very deep and very hidden. You realy need to activly SEARCH for them. Or look up lets plays. ('Best example is the the sorcerer-msister-quest... I think I NEVER would find a one of the items needed, if I wouldn't have looked up a let's play...) (I didn'T findd it, yet, but I know where to search.)
The Quests - especially the side-quests - are also realy good. They're linked and the game memorizes your deciscions. If you do a quest, it certainly can be, that you will face some consequences - be it good or bad - hours later. This might be one of the reasons, why people think, the side quests are just fetch- or deliver-quests. Believe me: they definitly aren't.
Now for exploration: I don't think, that it would be boring, if the overworld-enemies would vanish. But it would be a lot less entertaining.
All things in DD 2 have a purpose. Even totaly underwhelming trash-mobs, you will encounter, when you use Oxcarts in Vermount later. Because. the less xp a monster gives you, the more DP you will get in comparison. For example: A Minotaur will give you 7000 XP, but only 124 DP. Whereas a wolf in the stating area, will give you just 100 XP, but 50 DP... I literally witnessed that. (and this is also the case in DDDA.) So it might be boring to encounter those trash again and again and agin. but it's definitly rewarding. And you NEVER outlevel mobs, e. g. you ALWAYS will get XP.
Asmongold said it, and I say it also again and again. Not the finish is the goal in this game, but the WAY. And the mechanics are extremly complex but seemingly simple.
If Yakuza is a borefest DD2 is what you give to prisoners before an execution.
You play Diablo and Assassins Creed.
Just lmao. Go play with Excel, it's more entertaining.
For this game being best open world JRPG? I wouldn't know but this is probably my first since JRPG's went to ♥♥♥♥ with FF 13 and I regret trying..
New game plus is just new game but you get all your unlocked gear. They should add more options for new game plus like fog of war and difficulty options
