Would be good if you state what cpu you have.
BimboGooch Mar 25, 2024 @ 12:15pm
100% usage isnt bad, just means its the bottle neck. This game is super cpu intensive. Sounds like you have kinda a meh cpu if its getting to 100% thou, maybe a 4 core or 6core cpu??

Either way 100% usage isnt bad it just means its using literally all it can use lmao.

A: Tell me how to fix my thing.
B: What can you tell me about your thing?
A: Durrrrr…. Wut? Fix now!!!

You think the main menu should eat 100% CPU even if it's "only" a 6 core?

Funny you mentioned this because I get massive CPU spikes when viewing the MAP or looking at INVENTORY. I can literally hear my CPU fan going BRRRRR :D

nah, but hes prolly getting like 100 fps lmao. or more. I get like 50% usage or 60% on the main menu and I have 8 cores. Same as what I get in the city.

people act like its bad for a part meant to be for performance is running at 100%.

But yes the less cores you have generally the higher cpu usage your cpu will have. Same with the worse your cpu is generally the high cpu usage youll see. Its the same with GPUs. And it isnt a bad thing unless youre on your desk top and its 100%, but youre in a game and in a menu thats likely uncapped fps, getting high fps. Obviously something is going to be really high in usage.

Only game I've played in quite a while since I rebuilt my PC with a new case where I can actively hear the CPU fan losing its mind constantly.

thats your answer, your CPU barely meets minimum requirements (assuming you meant intel i7-9700) and considering the game has poor optimization its not a suprise you get 100 usage even in main menu

I suggest refunding or waiting for a patch

Wait wait wait...this is a little BS because if he caps at 60 FPS and has no framerate issues whatsoever than he's perfectly fine.

So if you have like mentioned stable FPS then you don't have to worry at all because like BimboGooch at the beginning said you just bottle neck because you may seeme to have a GPU that is better than the CPU can handle and with that you don't have to worry as long as your CPU or GPU doesn't reach temps over 90C°.

the funny thing is, in game cpu usage stays normal, its only main menu where it goes to 100%
Akariu Tamokiy Mar 25, 2024 @ 4:19pm
Thats weird...I only have around 65-75% but I also have a newer cpu than you^^
Still you don't need to worry and can enjoy the game ;)

It's clearly caching shaders. I know this because you DON'T have 100 percent CPU utilization when actually playing the game. I am correct am I?

I have a 12 core and still hit 100% in the main menu, it gets so bad it freezes my entire PC after a while until it crashes lol.
