[HELP] The Ailing Arborheart quest

So I'm on the quest to find gwynfecha to fix the tree for the elves. I have reached the point where I know it's scalecinder, and I'm supposed to talk to the blacksmith (Sara) in Battahl to get some. I have done the regalia sword quest. Talking to Sara does nothing to progress the quest, not even trying between multiple rests. Is it bugged or am I missing something obvious?

So spoiler: (a step i did before unknown if matters talked to the archer elf who translated for me and talked to the dwarf on the volcano part with the bad back before sara) So talking to Sara, she basically said to go back to the elves and get a specific food for the dwarf to bribe him. Then I have no idea. My quest disappeared when I dealt with the red orb in that same visit. That said alternative to evacuate the elves is just keep annoying the head arbor elf with sleeping in between until he agrees to go. Took 4 sleeps then talk iterations for it to happen for me.

I did exactly what you described but when I speak to Sara, she don't say anything special.
edit: when I try to check the quest with the oracle in Vernworth, she tell me to talk to Sara so I'm wondering if it's not a bug.

Im in the exact same stuck scenario, finished the regalia sword quest and i am now trying to get scalecinder from sara but all she does is offer to sell or enchance and talking to her doesnt progess the quest. Im guessing its bugged .

nope unfortunatly I advanced a lot in the story and since no notification warned me about the final story quest (be careful about that later on) I finished the game without this quest :/.

The same thing happened to me as well. Guess I'm not progressing the story until a fix has been found or capcom fixes this bug.

Oh wait I found out what you have to do. Just go back to vernworth and speak to Glyndwr again and the dialogue returns to normal at the blacksmith

I was going back to talk to Glyndwr, but it turned out he was dead. I then revived him, but now cannot find him anywhere. I've done all of his quests already. He died during my escort quest I got for getting him to max affinity.

Ok he finally appeared at my house again. Maybe now if I complete his escort quest the quest will stop being bugged.
Edit: it still didn't fix it. :(

Its quests with elves unlocked by main story ? I explored whole map but in story im at investigation of pawn delivery to bakbathal or whatever is that name. And elves dont want to give me any quest yet.

You have to do the quest in Vernsworth that has you gift a bow to the elf standing in front of the weapon shop that will lead you to the questline for the elfs. Then after all that the elf you saved in that questline will give you a quest that takes you to Battahl. Hope this helps. :)

Ok, I finally fixed it. All I had to was go talk to both the elf woman and dwarf at volcano island.
