Hired pawn's name suddenly changed to moniker

Anyone had the same thing happen? I've been running around with the same hired pawns for a while now and one of them suddenly changed its name to the moniker. How did this happen? I know for certain that I don't have any censorship on or anything because I'm well far far over 18. Is it because the one who owns the pawn changed a setting or how does this system work?

I've also seen MainPawn several times, idk if its people just playing a joke or what

Yup, Also seen several SphinxFather, Mother and Parenta round. Very annoying if you're doing the quest and you need a specific one made by Capcom.
However the name of the hired pawn is now back to normal for some reason. Maybe a bug as this happened in DDDA too

I think it's a network issue. If you lose connection it changes the names to the moniker I believe,

For me I had my pawn named Clairen and for about 2 hours of gameplay(and has been bugged since then 20 hours later) it was Clairen, then I loaded a save and boom both my arisen and Main Pawn were just named..."Arisen" and "MainPawn" with no way to fix it, kinda silly to have to wait for a NG+ to be able to fix a bug with the names.

Most likely to be a bug, or inappropriate names get censored regardless of settings, or owner refunded the game. Also SphinxFamily pawns are for one of the riddles of the sphinx, you have to bring her the right one .

You dont need a capcom one.

You just need one from the rift of fellowship (you can viw Linked rifts some the main cities rift stone while in the rift)

I literally just did this recently and used some random players pawn. They just have to be from that rift and have the correct moniker

Yes, it did go back. Seems like a glitch because it happened again during a dragon fight and then went back to normal.

Yes, I already did the riddle a few days ago but I'll need to do the last set of riddles next. I'm currently taking my time exploring other areas.

Its seem to be linked to the network and will put the moniker name if you have a trouble with the connection. I can change the name by turning on/off the network feature. I wish we could choose between moniker/name since I like to have pawn with names and not like Attaboy500.

If you change the language of the game, after create your Pawn and Arisen, to a diferent one, you will see their monikers, instead of the real names. It will revert to original names, if you switch back to original language used, when you created them. I hope they fix this.

Can confirm this is true. had the same thing happen to me after switching back from german to english.

It seems like the game switches to monikers if you disconnect from the internet while playing, then back when you reconnect.
Not sure if it's intended or a bug.

Yeah, I noticed as much yesterday when I was streaming and the stream also had problems in between. But strangely when it first happened it was only one pawn affected by this and connection was fine.

Mine is appearing as a MainPawn too. I did not know that I can make a name and a moniker for him too, and I only made a moniker. It took me a while to realize it.
