Why does the game suck?

Honestly, this is what we have on offer in 2024? Bland gameplay, decent graphics, and a half-way open world? Meh, could have released this 4 years ago...or atleast fixed the PC Port before launching.

Helps if ya play it ya know. I know you can watch gameplay of it and decide if it sucks, but sometimes that doesn't work. Like, I watched someone play american truck simulator and said "Damn this is bland and looks boring." yet it is the exact opposite when you're the one in the driver seat (No pun intended.)

In short, the game isn't bland, it has fantastic graphics for everything going on, halfway open world? Probably one of the better open worlds in any open world games, there's stuff literally everywhere, even places you wouldn't expect. The performance issues are spotty, but on the radar to be fixed first.

It's pretty mid, ngl. Performance and MTX complaints aside, it's a pretty mindless button masher.

Watching DD2 footage is like watching people play VR, it doesn't look like much until you're the one with the headset on. Fun game, piles of content, quite deep combat later on in the game.

It's easy to think that a game sucks when you formulate your observations and conclusions based on other people who's primary purpose is to jedi mind trick you into believing so.

I get the idea of "it's better if you play it yourself" mentality. I played Dark Arisen and from what I can tell, there's not a whole lot of difference between DD1 and DD2, based off observation of others gameplay etc. I'm not saying it's the worst game ever, nothing like that...but as far as innovation, or really a new experience...I don't feel it's justified to spend 70 on a graphics overall of DD1 with way more issues with performance. Lot of the sentiment I get from those that have played it, if you loved DD1, you'll love this, and it's really just more of the same, made prettier.

TBH always thought the first one was overrated. It was good but not brilliant.
A combination of green and grey scenery.

Not paying full price for this. Will wait for 12 months of performance patches
