TAA = Horrible ghosting, Native 4k (No AA or Upscaling) = Pixelated/grainy, 4K DLSS Q = Soft and grainy, FSR Q awful in motion
There's no settings that make the image look good in grassy areas. It always looks bad. Only "solution" is native+DLAA or DLDSR but my RTX 4090 cannot cope with it its not powerful enough even if i lower settings. Im using the no lantern model mod because lanterns are 5K polygons each and it helps FPS quite a bit but still not great

Damn when did we gamer become such a bunch of weak beach seriously, in my childhood you either play on a ps2 or later on a ps3 if you are on the rich category of gamer, if you are not, a ps1 or flash game ou your parent pc around a hour per day. Connection was awfull and character was even a fifth or what they are looking like now. Same for the difficulty, today game are for beach.

get the dlss3 fix for 40xx series gpu from nexus it will double your fps.
its just a replacement file for one thats already there that doesnt work, but i think its from cyberpunk or smth else that actually works

I get low 90s in towns to well over 100 fps in the world maxed out at 1440p with it using a 4070s
DLSS Frame gen introduces even more artifacts. You can spout FPS numbers but those frames are just interpolated and not real rendered frames. I have footage of some of the FG issues in Cyberpunk and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart already.. avoiding it as much as I can. Anyway, this post is about bad visuals, not performance.

Tbh the witcher from years ago looks better and runs smooth.

It’s just the engine they use. It’s total trash. The engine is probably like the fallout engine over 15 years old and they just upgraded it over time with no optimization.

The penultimate question then would be: Do you prefer to play this game with relative fluidity while it looks close to a smeared potato or would you rather sit 5cm away from the screen and count reflections on every single pixel?

No, RE Engine is actually pretty good. The performance issues are caused by tying NPCs to the CPU, not graphical.

You need to turn FG on without enabling the upscaler. Only some games have implemented FG correctly to be able to do that. It will then use the tensor AI cores to generate frames at native resolution.
Use Anti-Aliasing. Not sure why you wouldn't. Turn it to 16x. Problem solved. I have a 4090 and I run the game maxed out at Native (not 4k, 1440p) but 16x AA and TAA+FXAA. Says I'm using 8.98GB out of 24gb of total Vram. Game looks great and isn't grainy or pixely at all. However, I get 36FPS at the lowest in towns. Overworld sits around 60fps. Two things to keep in mind, I have a 3700x *long story, but at least it's OC'd* and I have the 4090 running on a 600w PSU (yes it can do full power pulls without low power crashing me). While the PSU thing doesn't hurt my performance, my older CPU def loses me probably 15-30FPS.
