Heck, fighters arent even the tankiest, defense seems to do very little, especially compared to everyone else's massive invulnerability skills.
My pawn has the Medusa shield pretty op shield I found north of vern area capital.
Also silver rapier which I maxed out.
Vocations maxed most of them, but still have to max warrior two handed and sorcerer. So probably start working on those. Holding threat my fighter does ok probably get better after 10 levels in Warrior growth then switch back.
Basically stacked knock down.
the point isn't "does fighter do fighter good" the point is "fighter is the worst class in the game"
as soon as you unlock warfarer, warfarer is immediately a better fighter in every way because you don't have to have 4 garbo fighter abilities even if you wanted to 1h+shield sometimes.
that's not a buff, it's their 1h weapon.
it's a DD trope: defense is pointless, magic defence becomes godly, and classes that avoid damage / invuln >>>>>>>> mitigating or blocking or whatever.
their fix to how junk fighters are was to make other melee classes and warfarer
right, and the problem is while you're knocking down, other classes build damage and kill the thing

Problem is fighter requires really good timing on parry or dodge attacks, otherwise you get knocked around and feel pointless.
If all you are doing is holding block and taunting, You are playing wrong and it's a skill issue.
I enjoy the added challenge, but, vs dragon's and chimeras said challenge becomes tedious and a huge waste of resource's and leaves the realm of 'fun'.
