Restart and multiple saves...

First you need to right click DD2 in steam, choose properties and uncheck DD2 from saving in the cloud !...

Secondly you need to open your start for this PC, and then search for win64_save folder there can be multiple of this one depending on your games, so you need to find the right one, simplest is to play save, leave DD2, and then search your my computor for win64_save check the timestamp of the files in win64_save folder

When your sure you have the right win64_save folder, you will have normally 3 files inside, you can two or more depending on if you premade your Arisen, if you premade, your arisen has a date on the files is earlier then the 22, and those two files you can allways just ignore...

So if you want to restart, remove the three latest files in win64_save folder, and you will start from scratch, and if you leave the two premade files, you will still have those as well...

If you want to to make your own hard save... just copy the win64_save folder paste it on desctop and rename it example level5win64_save ... you can then switch in files in these folders if you do big mess ups...

And at end you can right click DD2 in steam and retoggle cloud saving, just be sure locally overides steam and not steam overiding local...

PS... This is QoL features that the game should have, and i am not trying to excuse capcons gread with DLCs for these features... hopefully what i write helps, and allows those that want to enjoy the game with restarts and multiple save, do so !... peace out and place be nice to each other !

Stop telling people how to steal 70$ from Capcom.
Just buy the game again on a second Steam account if you want another save. It's the intended way.

What? Lmao, I do love Capcom and support them fully...

But Seriously??? It's an expensive @ss game!

If people want to support them, they *could* buy the DLC stuff.
But! If people are too poor to do these things, they should still be able to do them!

For example: You can use cheat engine, and mods, to get all the stuff that you would normally pay for. You can get infinite rift crystals with mods, and you can get all the other stuff by using Cheat Engine. (Infinite Wakestones, Portalcrystals, Gold, literally anything.)

Most people can't afford another game copy, or the DLC.
Those people should still be allowed to enjoy the game in the same way others do.
We are all dying, and deserve to have good experiences despite society's faulty system.

I manually back up all games like this. Rarely have to use it but it's a sense of security. Valheim and Elden Ring are others.
