And by that I mean that as long as your pawn is in a realistic state game-wise, the system probably shouldn't care.
Can't say for sure though, if you're considering it you should wait a bit for people to nail down whether it's the same kind of system as DD1 or if it's different.
We don't know if Capcom has sanity checks on their servers; the game has only been out a few days, so any hypothetical ban wave hasn't had time to happen yet, so nobody knows if there will be one. However, in my experience, Capcom doesn't have a ban system in place for other games, even for cheaters in their multiplayer games. For instance, there's no ban system in either PC Monster Hunter game. So this game probably doesn't have one either.
For what it's worth, I've already seen a couple very obviously cheated pawns in the rift.
You don't get banned from single-player games. What are they banning you from? There's no server. The only thing they could do even if they wanted to was disable the network function, and then you'd just be using local pawns instead of other player's pawns.
All the crap about bans comes from the emotionally unstable Denuvo and Microtransaction freaks, who are trying to smear the game with bogus accusations.
It's a single player game, you can't get game-bans from that. Those are only issued by server sided admins on games with PvP.
It's easy. Download the Vortex Mod Manager. Click on the games tab, select manage on the game you want to install mods for. Go to Nexus Mods website and find the game you're managing in vortex (so for you it'll be the Dragon's Dogma 2 nexus page). Find mods you like on the page and click the "Download: Vortex" option at the top right of the page. Vortex Mod Manager should do the rest.
Edit: some mods have prerequisite mods which it will show in a little pop up window after you click Download: Vortex. Just install those too and you're all set.
This will happen though. It's like Fromsoft's Softbanned, you can still play and do everything, but you wont see anyone's pawns. Just Capcom Pawns.
If you use mods, some mods will get you soft ban, just read the comment in nexus before using that particular mods.
If you use trainer/cheat engine, you will get tagged immediately AFAIK.
Haven't tried this but you might be able get other player's pawn soft banned too if you give them modded ring.
