Quest help - Wandering Roots

Arborist Taliesin must be convinced if the evacuation is to proceed.

Does anyone know what to do here? Not sure what I am missing.

You need to do The Ailing Arborheart quest first. Go to Bakbattahl and talk to the Smith there iirc, after you resolve the Arborheart you might be able to continue with Wadering Roots. I can't confirm more than this because I was unable to complete the requirement quest as it was dismissed from my list. (I was too far into the end-game)

I heard that you just have to talk to the arborist for 3 days in a row and he will yield but I don't want to lose my save

The Quest if Different if you have done " The Ailing Arborheart "
Spoilers: Path 1 Didnt do The Ailing Arborheart
If you didn't do the quest The Ailing Arborheart now its too late, Rest and you can talk to him again

Path 2 Did do The Ailing Arborheart
If you did the Quest, you'll get a cutting of the tree to plant at the Seafloor Shrine (you'll find the button to examine at the center of the maker bit annoying ) Then talk to the dude again.

yeah all these people are wrong all you have to do is keep talking to him over and over again and he'll just cave in and agree to evacuate it annoyed me a bit tbh lol

Passing time finishes it, I didn't do any of the quests for sacred arbor and had to rest in the inn 3 times to complete the evacuation, rest, talk to him to get different response, then rest again

THANKS!!! that save my Game was nearly loading a really old save file because i thought my game was bugged bc i didnt do the bow quest, nasty old elve

I did save the Arborheart in the Ailing the Arborheart quest properly but when I talked to Taliesin his response was something like "Nah I don't think we have to leave, we are save here" and when I talked to him a 2nd time he did a 360 and immediately agreed. I did not get any seed to plant.

Same thing for me. Did this break your ending?
