How to decrease affinity?

So a drake was inside the city and Brant got himself killed, was hoping to not get quest locked so I revived him and now he loves me, I can't even throw him off a cliff since the carry animation is different. So now i wanna decrease affinity with him but i am not sure if it is possible to do that

Throwing him off the cliff is gentele. Also we really should have a toggle for this stuff.

I got max affinity with the elf dad after completing his escort mission and I was able to lower his affinity by picking him up and falling off a cliff with him in my hands several times. Before that I dropped him in a river a few times and let the brine take him but he just kept auto-reviving. Brandishing a weapon and attacking near him made him angry but idk if it decreased affinity because he still had the rosy cheeks. The only thing I can confirm works is falling while holding them. Hope this helps!

Bumping into people, and scaring them by taking out your weapon seem to be the easiest way, though it seems to take a while.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was looking for this for hours haha. I had the SAME exact NPC; I can confirm picking them up and falling off a cliff together will decrease affinity.

Could be worth testing if rotten food or dried flowers also lower affinity, at least it would make sense to me...

Another tip for lowering affinity fast is to just jump grab em and by that I mean Jump and press the grab button and you'll be pinning down the nearest person to the ground. Just be warned that it's quite... disturbing to say the least.

I don't know if you know this but just now I found a way to decrease affinity with NPCs: I picked up Donne, took him outside of town and run until my stamina depleted. We fell and he took damage. His cheeks are red no more! HAH (I'd rather not write that my initial plan was to throw him in the moat to drown...)

T'is a fine info indeed. T'would seems better to avoid all escort quests from undesired NPCs.

So i had sara following me like a lost puppy every time i was in bakbattahl. I found out how to lower her affinity and stop following me. Heres what i did, i went to an area thats not full of ppl in battahl, as she was following me i stood my ground and unsheathed my weapon and swung then as she leaves scared i sheathed it back, then as she came back i did the same method, rinse and repeat. Your affinity will lower eventually they wont follow you no more. 👍🏼
