SHADOW PRAYERS QUEST BUG *SPOILERS*

I think this is a common bug but I can't find any solutions.

I failed to find the assassin during the Shadow Prayers quest and she died. Now the quest is still in the same spot on the map but I cannot find the assassin anywhere! I tried reviving her but then I don't receive a letter and Menella seems focused on the other quest which is bugged?! I don't have a save before the assassination but I do have an inn save prior to reviving the empress.

Does anyone have a fix? AND does anyone know if I can finish the game with this bug? Is this quest important for the end?

I'm having the same problem, I can't find Menella or the revived empress anywhere and the quest has not updated at all.

Yeah it sucks so much. I am a Twitch streamer so I had multiple people trying to help and NO ONE could find anything online or figure it out. I think its bugged idk. I wonder if people will discover a way to bypass it

The game is not progressing. Will Camcom fix this?

I'm here to say she told me she was going to pen a letter and just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off, never to be seen again. I'm hoping that something will show up after I get the 15 wyrmcrystals I need for the... pawn crystal thing (forgot the name)

Apparently this quest is not main story. It is still disappointing but at least we can finish the game

You better saved recently at the tavern, since its a separate save from the autosave/manual save, if you did, then just load the savegame from there and then you can get the correct assassin before he can even act (as a workaround for this issue)

i have find where is menella

she is at the camp on the volcanic island, beside the armory, when you walk close to her she give you a quest to find who was beying the murder

I have the same issue too. The assassin did not appear, but the guards went aggro on me for no reason. Then when I came, she's dead, and the NPC quest giver is still there, and the area is still marked, so the quest neither succeeds nor fails. Now, I noticed something worse: I cannot use the ferrystone anymore. With the great design to allow only one save, I cannot reload prior to that. Killing npcs, reviving them doesnt fix them either.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I did not find a fix but it did not impact the ending thankfully. Without spoilers, you can still do it!!

Found her, volcanic island on the camp near the geisers, it is not a but at all, you have the letter it is just not in your inventory

I had this exact same thing. I also failed the quest when I apprehended a guy with their hair back and scars on their right arm.... so they screwed me with a innocent that fits the description. Now I'm stuck with a failed quest in my quest log

yes this quest is bugged for some reason, not sure of where the bug entails but menella is dead so go revive her in the morgue, she will make her way to volcanic island by the armorer. however the actual quest to find the assassin will never go away. there is no known way to fix this mission. the assassin is in the gaol after you revive her.
