Virgil and Dante not spawning

Virgil and Dante not spawning for the Sphinx quest anyone know if this is a bug or is there something i have to do, i have searched both cities they are supposed to be in and nothing

I'm having the same issue, I can't find a solution anywhere!

I had this problem. I spent 3 hours running around looking for them. They can both spawn in the same spot. For me they were both in the checkpoint, one on each side of the gate.

They only show up in the afternoon, you can gauge this by the ring around the map!

Look in the Checkpoint Rest Town.

Try eating salmon under a fullmoon.

Pretty sure it's a time of day thing. Just happened across one of em on route to the forgery guy.

They may be dead, somehow. You need to check at the cemetery

They aare not in cities, i dunno if you did the same mistake, but i was looking for virgil in bakba, but he was outside of the gate in checkpoint rest town

dante is before the check point town and vergil and on the other side of the border gate.

Anyone solve this issue? I have Dante , but I need Vergil and he's not showing outside the gate or in my npc log book

I had the same problem. Was running around for hours in different day times. After restarting the game that person was right there where he was supposed to be

I think vergil is assigned to cat city, so if you take a few days of sleep and then check the morgue just to be safe.
