Also money is like... common common, goblins drop 350+, other things drop more, you never have to sell anything. I've never sold an item and i spend money all the time, after spending 20k on a house and 80k on gear i have like 30k left and I'm not worried about running out... also ferry stones start to become really common.
If you're really hard up for cash in the game level up the mystic spearhand enough to get the extra money augment then swap to whatever class you want and slap the augment on there.
If you are an immersion/survival junkie that hates fast travel this is your game.
Explore.
You're welcome.

But you also seem to be doing something wrong. I'm fighting lots of stuff constantly. Like many of these games, you do have to get past the first few hours of tutorial and story setup before it opens up. But you also have to eventually make the choice to ditch quest, or start running to quests on foot and searching in between. Basically every road leads to some homes or a cave/dungeon. The caves get interesting.
