Quest Bugged- The Caged Magistrate - Can't turn in quest

Anyone else lost the Gaol key to turn in at the end of the quest? Makeshift Gaol Key wont work..

Yeah I gifted it to the guy, thinking it would get him moving. Turns out, not the way to go about it.

Couldn't even get a new one from Mr Guard man guy at the inn, so no idea what to do with it now.

Damn thats unlucky, hopefully we don't need to do complete the quest to progress the story.

Fortunately, if you find/goto the forgery guy, that key will just be in his list of items that he sells. He sells "key items (like the Gaol key that Brant gives you for the quest)" that were accidentally misappropriated in some way.

Yeah I hope this works for most people, I opened the cell door with the Gaol key and then I think it bugged out when I got caught afterwards. I went back and opened the lock with the makeshift key. But the scrapper guy has nothing in the 'sell items' section. The quest design is ridiculous having to retrieve a key from town 20kms away lol
