Games 10-20 y old have better ui and better functions.
Thats a particulary evil thing to do, Glad all teh early adopters of the early access game are working out all the bugs. Itll be great when it goes on sale at 50% off.
If it can help, did exactly the same thing but enabled cloud save once the character was made and into the first camp after the gryphon drop you, played for maybe 1-2 hour ( did a inn save and a couple of manuel save) and quit the game, came back after a little sleep and my new game booted up so you might have made a mistake somewhere.
Im thinking they didnt push their new game to the cloud like you did, thats likely the issue and why Capcom pushed the old cloud save over the new game.
I'm always open to having did something wrong and I may have. However, I did restart my game multiple times yesterday without issue and it loaded my "real" game.
