There's a quest giver in the late game that requires you to remember where you collected your first seeker token. If you can't remember, you fail the quest, and there are serious consequences that you cannot recover/reload/replay to avoid. It's permanent.
Here's the actual spoiler:
It's the Sphynx. One of her riddles requires you to know where you got the first token. If you answer incorrectly, you fail her entire questline and she attacks you and you miss out on rewards. It's punishing at best.
Hope that helps.
I am on that one RIGHT NOW and yeah, it's a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but at the same time, i love when they do stuff like this so noy everyone can complete everything easily ^_^
But yeah, it's gonna be a pain to backtrack, but i have my suspicions where i found mine

me when i spread misinformation on the internet. you can still complete the quest and there are no consequences besides missing out on the measly reward that this specific riddle gives.
Dragon's Dogma has always been about multiple playthroughs anyway.
