netted me a small performance boost but i also noticed way less stuttering in big towns

well the "fps boost" is very smoll
its more about the better frame times in towns that made a noticeable difference for me

This actually helps; my FPS in town was 30. It's around 40 now, which to me feels way better. At least I can play the game tonight. It's amazing how a few more FPS can get me back into the game again. Thanks!! and yeah it's small boost, but stuck at 30 FPS was pissing me off bad. lol

Never new it was that easy to get more use out of cpu cores. Is there any draw back to this? If not I wonder why all games don't use it by default?

I love how nuclear this launch flag reads 😂

Here is a potentially better solution - most people got a significant 15-20 fps boost after (if it worked for them). https://steamcommunity.com/app/2054970/discussions/0/4289188517341844591/
went from 45fps wit h stuttering sometimes in city square on 4090 and 5800x to 55-60

Which isn't much, but the stuttering disappeared, already ran fine and up to my frame cap fps in the wilds.

The CPU usage is not actually increased that much, but the GPU usage went from 30% on the main menu to 50%

Just from a programmers perspective it will only be a problem if you are multitasking different things that need cores, which fortunately most gamers don't multitask tasking programs at the same time I hope. It may be a problem for recording streams and such.

another placebo tweak. as if it does not use all cores already. but smart people simply check if it does in hwinfo or similar and YEP it does.

Is this guy a clown or is everyone else a clown?

I'm at work so I can't try this yet.
Mine wasn't using all cores.
Also loaded the game with the commandline and not.
went back to 40 fps in the city square.

On my system without the command the game refused to run past 50% of my cores.

Nice, glad it worked for you. When I get home i'll try it.

Worst case scenario it does nothing, right?
