Let's create an alternative group for normal RPG pawn with standard look!
As Jaw said, putting your pawn code somewhere where people can see and try it is worth it.
The first game had a thriving community just off of that alone.
Check the Pawn rental topic that's in the trading section to the right. quite a few people have put their pawns there already. I'm currently running around with the Pawns Selene, and Frieren from there.
Your pawn appearing in the game of other people is random luck. Also many people will look to hire pawn at their level so it is free, so it also depends on how many people are at your pawns level.
Mine is Eire if you're looking for a good archer. ;)
Giving a better reward for their Pawn Quest also helps.
Yep, I only hire pawns which cost nothing + I only hire pawns which are not the class for my main pawn (warrior). I am only interested in mages/archer and sometimes I use a thief, but they are extremely rare to find! Most pawns which I encounter in my games are warriors! My pawn never gets hired but he is too a warrior, so I am not surprised.
Let me guess no specialization though right?
Give it a couple of weeks, those pawns will stop being updated, will end up pretty underpowered, and things will go back to normal.
