Cpt. Brant is not at the inn

Hey i just finished some of the main quests but Cpt. Brant is not a the inn, the questmarker still tells me he is there but he isn´t, doesnt matter which day or nighttime he is just gone.
Does anyone know whats going on?

Without spoilers if you do a certain quest he may be holding out in the guardhouse during day and night

i dont care about spoilers, i just want to know where he is, just looked in the guardhouse nowhere to be found

wait at the counter in the pub, soon as you come back he will show. Like the other said has to be night time for him to show

i have already tried waiting at the counter and as i said in the original post i tried it at all times, day night evening afternoon he doesnt show up

Same problem here. Waited several days, tried to wait on the bench, have a rest at the inn, even left town for a while adventuring, still no cpt. Brant.

Edit : found the solution. For some unfathomable reason, Brant was dead. I had to go the the Charnel House (south-east of the noble quarter in Venworth, pay 5000G to a monk to locate the body then use a wakestone to revive him).
