it works now to prevent piracy since no one is available to crack them.
capcom & square are known to remove them later down the line,
all you have to do is wait a few months or weeks.
they still have to assess if they can save how bad the game is done so it'll be playable on steam deck
So blame the Pirates for why we can't have nice things.
ah, you were talking about something else. my bad & thanks for the fix links.
i don't know dude.
what's the point of hindering buyers in the name of fighting against ppl that don't even buy games anyway?
piracy is a service issue. steam had proven to be much more easier and safer then piracy.
Where have i heard this Strawman before...
like what? the only thing i can think of is stopping ppl from using cheat engine/trainers.
modding dos not really require messing with the exe.
other then that this DRM still adds more harms then good to buyers.
oh yah, locking you out from doing the 3rd party fixing,
completely forgot about that. unlucky buyers.
And this's the same kind of philosophy that sees digital titles we've paid for being deleted off our accounts due to studio/publisher stopping support (&/or agreements not being renewed). We loose out. Fact is they've all but changed the 'consumer' dynamic without outright telling us, you no longer buy to own you rent. Frankly it's a breech of the consumer act in many countries regarding digital properties.
And don't lets get started for the 'industries' hate of the 2nd hand markets for physical media.
Honestly, the industry as a whole may as well switch entirely to a 'game-pass' type model to at least be honest about what they're doing.
