The mtx existing at all is pretty dumb tho, but it'd be even dumber to buy them.
The game, in the same way as the first one, was not designed with frequent fast travel in mind. You can buy (with real money) fast travel stones and if regular fast travel is important to you, you may feel like the MTX are exploitative and want to avoid buying entirely.
They arent that rare, but are scattered around the map. Also to mention: using them to resurrect yourself is a complete waste, they are better off saved and used to resurrect key npc's you accidentally killed.
i think the only time where they really died were accidental deaths where you couldnt resurrect them cause they fell from a cliff into the water or similar situations
You can also only buy ONE through the store. It has no tangible effect on the availability in-game.
And all of these items were in game one with the same type of drops, only they made a lot of things easier. Like fast travel, where there are completely new options for it. If game 1 is still on sale, go play it for cheap. This game is pretty much the same. If you can't grind without feeling that you need to buy some of those items, then you likely won't be able to stop yourself in this one. I'd laugh if anyone admitted to buying these micro transactions though.
