So the developer/publisher had time to make cash shop in the game

But apparently not enough time to work on performance issues, or putting a simple feature that let players to delete current character and start over. Why isn't this function available in main menu?
Players have to go through disabling steam cloud save and then manually delete the save files. Quite a $70 game quality there.

As for people talking about most of the cash shop item not being worth buying, yes, I know that. That still doesn't justify the developer prioritizing cash shop over more important elements such as mitigating performance issue or implementing basic functions.

Also, the fact that they have been putting these cash shops in their games for years simply means people are buying enough of those for the developer/publisher to keep doing it. Companies don't spend time and money on stuff that does not benefit them.

Some of the games such as RE series have cheat-code style products (unlock all reward or something like that) for sales. Isn't CAPCOM butting head with mod/cheat lovers because they want to ban those from their games? Obviously their 'cheat code' products won't sell very well if players could just mod those. Apparently those 'products' are making enough money for them to anger modding communities.

I don't like it but it does not affect the game itself.

Should they improve performance on PC? Absolutely!
Is the game itself superfun to play? Yes!

Nope, there is a link on the main menu that opens the steam store page.
Most people even do not realize that most of the items are part of the deluxe edition.
It is like a deluxe edition upgrade which a lot of games offer.

I do not say that I am ok with it since they sell Rift Crystals and Ferrystones and people who do not know the first game might think they need it.

Boredom is not a definitive objective metric tough. Many people I know find Elden Ring very boring - meaning by that logical fallacy ER = VERY BAD???

Dragon's Dogma is a very different approach to open world RPGs.
And it is ok if people do not like it because of this.
But I personally love it.

You do not run around and try to work your way through all the quest markers.

Due to the pawn system it feels much more like an adventure. You go out into the wolrd and explore. There is so much stuff to find and see.

I will never understand people who think this is true. Microtransactions, be they unique content or just stuff you can get in game, do not magically appear. Someone, presumably someone who could've worked on something else instead, had to spend their working hours creating and implementing them.
Why don't all games come with a multiplayer component. It's not like it affects the singleplayer experience... only it does, because it takes time and effort to implement any feature that means that there is less attention avalible to focus on the core game and that is true for any feature, mtx included.

And then it's the decade old argument that people just refuse to acknowledge. If it's not needed why does it exist. If they wanted to give people options, why not make it a cheat code or toggle instead of making them pay.
And no, I refuse to accept that a 8.5 billion company NEEDS the extra money on top of the already premium 70$ price.
