Does resting from your own House considered a save?
Like resting on an Inn?

See i dont wanna load to an inn save thinking i saved at a house only to find out my last inn save is 7 hours ago. Especially there are bugs where there are saves when monsters are stuck inside a rock and you have to kill it and but when you reload they are still inside the rock

Rest at an inn. Then rest at a house. Then load from inn.

Someone should know and comment. Only other thing you can do is save at an Inn, collect something and see how many of that item you have, then rest at your home. Then load from last inn save and see if it is the inn or the house. Let us know if you try this if no one else comments with a knowledge of this feature. Good luck.

According to an unfortunate redditor, it looks like the house is a "fake inn" - even though you get the pawn hiring report and access to storage, the guy reported losing 4 hours of progress and got kicked back to the last time he specifically rested at an inn.

Don't be an ass, this is pretty important technical information.

There are two savegames in the game.

One is actively being saved whenever you see the Red Circle in the corner. You can force it to save in the Save Menu.

When you load that save, it goes back to either the most recent autosave or your most recent save if it hasn't autosaved since you saved.

The other save is a save at the Inn where your character is in a safe location.
That way, if you wind up on the side of a cliff but nowhere to go but instadeath, you can load the Inn save.
It also punishes you for being stupid and getting in a bad spot. You lose your progress.
It sucks when that happens but that's how it works. Risk/Reward.

I would argue that house is still worth it - it's a free source of loss meter healing and NPCs can deliver goodies to your door if they like you. Just picked up a fancy sword from that :)

Still, sucks that hard saves are still a gold sink.

I just tested house saves w/ back to back inn (day->night) and house (night->day) rests, then reloaded from "last inn save", and loaded in at the house at daytime, so ???????? I'd still say use Inns for hard saves to be absolutely safe.

yea im getting house saves too

It might be a problem with Mildred's house-sitting quest - the guy who lost progress in that reddit thread was talking about "a free use house in the city", so he probably didn't own it.

If that's the case, it could be that resting at a house is a hard save but that quest is bugged.

well since i tested it myself i can say house saves counts as inn saves.

I went to inn saved morning and later went to house saved to night with no equipment. Later went to main menu and clicked last inn save and i was at my house at night with no equipment.

I'm getting house saves as inn saves.
You guys do know you can manually save the game yourself right?
