Can I reset my graphics to default outside of game? Help!!
I changed my graphics to the highest setting and my game crashed. Now it crashes every time I try to load it up. Is there a way to change the graphics back to default without opening the game? Will uninstalling / reinstalling reset my graphics settings?

Drive where Steam is isntalled-> \Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\some numbers\2054970\remote\win64_save\data000.bin

This is the location for your in game settings but I'm not sure if any character saves are bound to it. So you might want to back it up before testing.

I deleted that file. Reloaded the game. It still crashes (I'm assuming due to the high graphics settings). I don't think that's where the save data for graphics settings is located.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game- it didn't reset the graphics to default so I still can't run the game.

How do I reset graphics to default outside of the game??

In the folder that Xaro mentioned above, data00-1.bin is the graphics (and etc) settings file, delete that to reset them.

This let me launch the game again!

I was getting a crash every time as I got to the start screen / end of the re engine intro video:
exceptionPointer: 00000001505686C0

Had to turn off cloud saves because the game kept recreating the file on launch. Then deleted the data00-1.bin, ran the game, and it let me through to redo the settings.

I'm not sure if this works for most games, but in the past verifying integrity of games files would sometimes reset all options.

I verifed all files, even deleted the whole game folder and reinstalled, but the settings persisted in the cloud saves and kept getting put back in on launch.

So turning off cloud saves and deleting that data00-1.bin was the trick for me.

Deleting the bin file fixed the issue, much appreciated for this post!

You guys are brilliant, thanks. Had my Ally with me, but the settings was stuck on dlss from my main computer and could not change as dlss was greyed out. Damn Capcom.

Hey, for me there is no folder with the \2054970\ id, there is another one which seems to contain forza stuff which for me is \1551360\ and it does not contain "win64_save" or anything remotely similar...

There should be a gaming term just for this, but it's probably too niche to deserve one.

Settings Purgatory, Gaming Groundhogday or something.
