anyway to turn off switch weapon skill?
it wont let you bind the CTRL+ keys to be the same key as any other function so i dont understand the point of even making me hit CTRL.

the controlls are already janky enough in combat. forcing em to hit ctrl to use a skill i can us by just hitting the button without ctrl makes no sense.

It would be nice to have the number keys to cast a spell, but the game wont let me. Autohotkeyit will fix that.

And the problem with macros or macros or scripts is that not all abilities function as a single hit. Some you need to hold, or hit multiple times. So I tried changing my num key to macros that were ctrl+num. And it works great for single hit instant abilities. But not for abilities that don't fall into that category.

I have bound some of the spells to mouse buttons and then CTRL isn't so bad. Thinking of switching right-button to a spell and using ALT as 'speed up'. But agree 100% with bindings. AutoHotKey Binding ^V etc does not work in-game - may fiddle more later.

I've not even touched mages yet. I was a fighter at first so I had light attack and heavy attack as left and right mb. And block as 5 (i have a naga so theres 12 buttons on the side of the mouse 1-0 and - and =) and even then I was struggling in fights because I have to let go of sprint, to hit ctrl, and then fire off an ability.

After changing to spear hand I've swapped block from 5 rmb because instead of blocking it charges a magic stun grenade, and you need to hold the button the entire time during combat to get it to max potency. But god do I hate having to hit ctr + for a basic ability when there's only like 8 total buttons your hitting for combat.

I am hoping someone gives us a mod or let's us toggle the switch weapon skill, it's such a daft and pointless annoyance, especially when the pawn controls have dedicated 1 press keybinds!

I had exactly same issue. Then i found this "mod". Well, its not really a mod, its a simple script which just forces automaticly to press ctrl when you hit 1,2,3,4: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/173?tab=description

You first have to install "autohotkey" - link is provided in the mod. Then download the script, unzip it anywhere and run with a double click. After you finished gaming, just remember to close autohotkey.
