Spellbound and Sorcerer appraisal didn't give me the skill books?

So did these 2 quests. gave the fake books to Myrmiddon and Trysha the real ones. But as I did both quests, I never got the skill tomes. Is this happening to anyone else?

how you started this quest, i got smth weird i have 3 npc in house, 2 grandma and 1 girl

i got maelstorm no problem, then it is the meteor one, so you should get meteor and the other one is mage spell from eini, at first I didnt get any spells lol
then i reload my last inn save then redo all again from the start, then eini finally gave me the mage spell, but trysha still doesnt give me meteor, will try again later, hopefully it will be fixed by then

also some guy posted on gamefaq mentioning maelstorm bug as well, so chances are this quest is really bugged

Mine bugged out in a completely different way. I gave the books to Trysha and then she glitched into the ground or something. I wasn't able to complete the quest.

But after waiting, the people at her house have dialogue as if I did it correctly. Still shows the bad end in my quest log.

Now I just can't get any skill books. so that's fun.

I've yet to do these quests so I guess i'll be sure to save at an Inn before handing them in.

If it bugs, i'll reload and try again lol.

yea inn save is really important in this game, or just copy your game save somewhere else from the game directory as a backup, like before encountering sphinx

To be sure guys, have all 5 books. Have a copy of each, 2 will be needed of the fulgurous shield book to get one other. Then tavern save.

Also of note, I had to wait a little time to be given the spells.

I turned in 5 fake copies of books to Myrmiddon and he gave me maelstrom then I went to Trysha to give her all 5 real copies of the books.. rested for a week at the camp nearby but she just keeps saying the same thing about her studying... Eini is also in the house... Seems like quest is bugged.. doubt capcom will fix this anytime soon

ppl say that you have to wait for some time, but I got maelstorm instantly without waiting

try camping and coming back to the house until trysha and eini request escort then do it, let me know if that helps

can confirm this, I didn't get trysha and eini's, and after doing escort with both of them, raising affinity, then after I returned to einis home, I got both magic scrolls, so yea not bug but you have to raise your affinity with respective meisters to get the scrolls

yes, i believe affinity is involved. Once i completed the Spellbound quest and I didnt get the spell. I did an escort quests that Trysha had and I did a rest at the camp. I got the spell once I went back. And for the Sorcerer appraisal quests, I believe learning the Meteor spell triggers more dialogue as he makes a comment on it. Wear the ring that Trysha gets you is part of it as well. You have to rest a bit and he will give you the spell.

i think i messed up. i gave 1 of the books (the shield one) to the sorcerer maister. but you need to dublicate this book to the one from the nameless village.
did i really screw up both quests by handing in the the shield book to the sorcerer?

or is there a way to get the last book from the girl without the shield book?
