Flora calls my Female Charakter "Sir"
I have noticed that some people address my female hero with male salutations. Is this a common experience, or am I just particularly unlucky?

It's Ser, which means knights or someone who has been knight hooded, this applies to even female knights.

They call everyone "ser" not "sir". It's not the same as a male salutation but a type of honorific.

It's all part of the overly formal / polite fantasy setting here.

Every character calls you that. And ignore Brynn. The developer is just misgendering everyone.

I think it's like in Japan, where anyone could be called "-san", or in Morrowind where everyone was called "muthsera". It's a genderless honorific, and that's common in video games when the developer needs something that works for whatever choice the player makes.
