Crashes
Anyone find a solution? I've tried everything I can think of. I can go about 5-10 mins playing just fine then it just randomly crashes. Every time. Ugh I really hope they can fix it SOON

Fatal D3D error (25, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, 0x887a0006) is this in your crash report?

I'm trying to learn a skill: crash
I try to open the equipment menu: crash
I open the map: crash

It's starting to drive me crazy

I only got an error report once (Fatal error), the rest of the time it's just the game quitting

I'm having the same issue, almost have 2 hours of game time, and I haven't even gotten through the Character Creation without crashing.

If yall find a solution could you DM me? I'll do the same if I discover anything

What CPU do you guys have? Because I found out that my CPU is waaay to ancient for this game and that this can cause my error too

Seems that this game doesn't like overlays. Had my first and only crash yesterday and I was using rivatuner. Disabled that and haven't had a crash since. Steam overlay seems to be fine though

I lost the thread to thank the person, but someone suggested adding this line to your launch options on steam (RIght click on game in list and go to preferences. on general tab there is a text box at the bottom)

-useallavailablecores -gc.buffer 2048 -force-feature-level-11-0 -force-d3d11-no-singlethreaded -maxMem=16384

i've been playing crash free for 20 minutes now. game looks worse but is playable. will report in if i still crash or not.

Edit: Nope, crashed 2 minutes after posting this. Though it might be more stable?

Try these steps, but it will still break less often.

After trying your method, my computer went black screen upon launching the game, but there was still sound from the game.

i ran the .exe as admin and now it stopped crashing. was able to play a few hours last night. hopefully this helps someone

I also tried to disable steam overlay and to use Big Picture Mode. It lasted 20 mins instead of the usual 10 mins.

Anyway, I have a 5800x3d, 16 Gb DDR4, Radeon 6800.
Seems that crashes are more likely to happen if you have less than 32 gb ram.

Doesn't seem to do anything for me. Crashed within a minute after loading a save.

I'm running it on Ryzen 7 3800X, 4070TI S and 32GB RAM and it does crash every 5 mintue or os. Sometimes I manage to play for 20-30 miutes and once it crashes once then it won't let me play for more than 5 minutes (sometimes even will crash on save load a few times in a row).

Yeah I have 64gb with 14900k and I've only had 1 crash in like 4 hours, probably caused by rivatuner

Windows Event Viewer reports the crashes as "resource exhaustion error". It says virual memory is not enough. But I have it on Auto, so Windows manage it. So, that's why I thought it could be related to RAM.

I never had this kind of issues. Never. And I play on pc since the end of 90s.
