What is the deal with the rift crystal?

Turn off cloud saves, backup your saves, use cheat engine. Worst case you put the backup back in.

RC were important back in DDDA on Bitterblack Isle (and maybe there's an endgame use for them in DD2). But I wouldn't worry about it too much.

same as first game, just play game normally and you will have hundreds of thousands or millions of RC. don't need to buy microtransactions at all unless you are lazy, very casual gamer or, want to suck the capcom peen

RC is gained pretty easily if you make an appealing looking/strong Pawn. The more people use your Pawn, the more RC you get. It's not really used for anything other than hiring Pawns and some cosmetic items.

The definition of "p2w" has gotten ludicrously diluted over the years, to the point that it doesn't mean anything anymore.

Does pay to win even matter in a single player game? You could just use cheats or mods... mod to win?? Console command to win? Who cares???

They have a financial incentive to make their DLC (which makes you skip gameplay) appealing and the way to do this is to make your gameplay existance without the skip unbearable. The equation here is balancing ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay with the amount of people willing to pay for MTX.

In a game withouth MTX a developer does not have that bad incentive to make the gameplay loop so grindy or unfeaseable for people who actually have a life.

I've been saying this a lot today: you are the frog in the pan and of course you don't realize.

On PC its not really a big deal with trainer, mods and cheat engine but for consoles it might be a problem they do not have so much access to way to overcome the grind.

You don't need them you get so much from renting out your pawn and finding rift stones. You don't really even need the other characters the games not that hard. I guess if you suck they can make the game easier but there are FREE pawns and Official Pawns as well.

Like I think I have 3000RC right now and it costs about 134 RC to higher the "best" pawn.

rift crystals are pretty much infinite when you play the game. the low cost of hiring makes it so you are gaining more than you spending. i am approaching 10000+ already and i am asking myself why are there even costs when you are gaining 10x compared to what you need to spend you know.

nothing here is pay to win since you aquired everything by playing. and if you wanna cheat then go offline mode and do whatever you desire to your main char.

take note guys -> editing your main char or items does not lead to a ban if your pawn is untouched. tested it myself and my pawn is used by others.

If you are dumb enough to buy RC when it's given to you in many ways for free and more than enough for your journey I don't know what to say. The game specifically warns you to not buy too high level pawns by increasing it exponentially after a point making it not worth it as well.
