This article seems to suggest that the original plan was to make the game hard to navigate around to drive MTX sales of fast travel. But they chickened out at the last minute and made it available in game because they'd made it 'too hard' to get around.

It's almost like its directly equilevant to DD1 where fast travel was very limited to ferrystones untill they added an eternal ferrystone in a patch.

And if you dont know what ferrystones are, they are one time consumables that allow you to fast travel to a port crystal.

Everyone is whining about MTX when you could just ignore them and play the game. Get good and you won't need to spend a dime in this game, or you can continue to suck and empty your wallet to help you accomplish beating the game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ won't do anything but make the people who played and understood DD/DDDA laugh. Skill issues either way.

There's no argument anyone can make that makes it being a MTX better than being an in-game ONLY system.

You, who are defending it right now can't even argue that it is a good thing, because there's no argument for it being a good thing. You keep defending it with either "it's not that bad" or "i don't care", how do you not see that?

Imagine not realizing you can buy an appearance changer in-game for cheap, like people have been talking about in here.
