Food spoiling in storage
Does food spoil while in storage (apples, fish, meat and so on)?
im not sure if i took too long to store them but i think 1 piece of meat i found in the camp and stored was rotten the next time i looked into the storage...

If it does it is a ♥♥♥♥ change from the last game since ♥♥♥♥ still spoils way too fast

no im pretty sure the things i put into storage in the first game never spoiled even after hours of playing and multiple ingame days

In this one even herbs dry over time BUT the good thing is it's super easy to combine items quickly and there seems to be a lot of combinations so you can turn things into elixirs and such. Plus, when something ages you can usually combine two of them to create a dried version, I rarely get something to rotten. Lastly, I somehow combined some rotten food with something to create lantern fuel so even those have uses. You end up with much more materials then you need anyway with minimal gathering, especially if a pawn you have loves collecting

Yes they can spoil in storage. Was the same way in the 1st game, the only way to not make food spoil was by putting them in airtight flasks, but not sure if they have that in this one.

I know they aren't suppoed to. Dunno if bug or capcom being mean, but all my stored perishables rotted immediately when I did a certain thing that has certain consequences.
food does indeed rot in storage in dd2, i believe it is a glitch though since it says it stays fresh in the tutorial logbook, cause i just checked my storage and i have about 40 rotten meat and no fresh food at all

From my experience, all the plants and food I've stored has rotted, it doesn't impact me much as It's easy to buy some of the better medicines that they combine into and just kill an animal get fresh meat when I leave so it's aged when I need to camp.

Did you guys start NG+? Because It seems NG+ makes all your storage stuff rot.

Any items shouldn't be able to rot in your normal playthrough because there is an achievement to petrify Medusa and to do that you need kill Medusa for her head and sleep 14 days so Medusa respawns. How the hell are you gonna preserve Medusa's head for the 2nd kill if it will rot in your storage?

I do agree with the rot issue but if you're having issues with petrifying medusa. A shield in the vault of the castle of vernworth reflects. It's called the daughter of the evening, they kinda of hint at it by putting a decayed madusa head in the vault as well.

I'm pretty sure they did. Things could actually not spoil in storage.

In first game none of the food would spoil in storage, it was the same in this game too until I went to post game, where all of my food and flowers immediately spoiled and withered, which sucks. Had I known I would craft all I could with them, but alas...
