how did they fail like this

the devs needed to only release a full game, no dlcs, no microtransactions of any kind, and this game would have been incredible

i will not buy it until it's super cheap on sale

first and foremost those are literally the items you get in the deluxe edition of the game. they have no impact at all on the gameplay. since you get so many of them that spending money on them is just useless. for example in your first 10 mins you will already have more wakestones then you can buy from the "dlc".

People are complaining about the premise. This will be a standard practice if you dont stop it now. There is no reason to charge for these things, it's a file of data, just like the millions of other lines, this one costs 2.99. Don't simp for game developers against your own interests. You will hate what it gets you in a few years.

Youre just letting the fact theres small dlc in the game ruin it for you, even thou it doesnt effect anything if you dont buy it and you get it all (aside from the music track) in game anyways.
If they locked reviving behind a pay wall or remaking your character, id be with you but it doesnt do that, so it just literally doesnt matter lmao.

I did not and I will continue to not, for that reason. Also I think this is an evolution of predatory monetization. It used to be just one thing to sell. Now its 20. Oh and also, whats the difference between a character editor thats free vs. 2.99? Nothing. Making you pay is a choice, it's a fee, it doesn't go to the people that worked on those lines of code, it goes to billionaires that want to see the left most number in the bank be a 6 this year rather than a 4. Stop defending things that are not good for your own interests.

The DLC's they offer have an explicit warning that they are available through gameplay and are literally the same DLC types all capcom games have from REsident Evil to Monster Hunter.
It would be a different story if you needed to buy them to progress or get stronger but you do not.
My lord......I swear they need to lock the forums down for only those that own the game like others did.

DLCs are not MTX, DLCs are new additions to the game, like new quests, new areas, they add something more then just cosmetics.
Problem here is people dont see how corrosive MTX can be, developers will start to create problems inside your game so you have to buy the solution. Stop dismissing this as a nuisance, its not, it will snowball and it will ruin a lot of games.

You can buy the item in-game for in-game currency and change your appearance, what they offer is literally jsut a shortcut to the item nothing more.
This is a perfect example of you whining about something you have no clue about lol
