1.99 for a new playthrough?!??

Is this legit? You only get one character and have to PAY to change your characters appearance? I bought the game but I’m at work, so if this is the case then I’m refunding. Someone tell me this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as the game looks great!

Before you refund, CAPCOM has already announced that they will implement a restart option for new game. Which means you can start over. Your concern is no longer a concern. They've already apologized.

For everyone recommending the 'workaround' for the save files, be warned that each time you do this Denuvo counts it as a new activation, and after you 'activate' a certain number of times, Denuvo suspects foul play and bricks the game for you.

Its ridiculous. I have asked for a refund mostly because I cant even start a new character, Its a scam from Scamcom. I havent bought any games from them since Dragons Dogma 1. Its unlikely I will ever forgive them for destroying DD2 with their corporate greed.

Yeah with 190,000 people still playing and enjoying the game vs a couple thousand people with 1.5 hours on the game leaving bot reviews. Game ain't going anywhere and it's better than any other game in its genre that has came out this year. Quit doomposting, it's disingenuous.

The fact that they didn't do that from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ start is bad enough, there is still a ton of issues with denuvo bricking people over deleting saves. Why the ♥♥♥♥ would any developer think a SINGLE PLAYER game being server locked to one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ save file is a good idea?

Well it is true. And if you pay for a pawn they commit suicide by jumping into the water.

It's all on purpose as there would be an easy solution for AI stupidity. But capcom decided to screw the players.

I'm not defending them, darling. I'm just addressing the OP's concern about being unable to restart. That concern is no longer valid. Yes, I know they shouldn't be doing this. But I'm addressing the thing the OP cares about. I'm not here to right the great wrong or protect the Great Cause Against MTX. If you're refunding because you can't new game again, then you don't have to anymore.

it's not a bot reply if you don't like it.
Use your brain. You have 2 hours for giving the game back.
And I spend alone 3 with character creation.
Now think that you quickly made a char just to see how the game is? You are screwed.
If you notice that before the 2h goal you can only give it back and stand by your decission. That means the game gets a bad review.

Capcom made a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ decissions. The ingame store was the most obviouis.
What comes next? Lootboxes and season passes? We aready have everything we would need for that.

This. Funnier still, buying the book DLC is double the cost of Buying the 500 riftstone DLC to buy the book in game.

Regardless, a visual makeover is not the same as restarting the game. Which you can do for free. Even if its a bit of a pain to do.

You know there is a character creation demo still available so you don't need to waste a minute of your 2 hour game time on it.

I don't approve of many of the decisions they made, but that was a good one.

No you don't need to pay, you only need 500 RC to buy the edit item in-game which is very cheap.

When I started the game and saw the 5 character slots I thought to myself, awesome! Then I was confused when I started up my game today and saw no option for a new game as I planned to create the other 4 characters

I hope this gets changed soon if not via mods
